In 2017, our community was displaced from its territory, leaving behind our history, our land, and our roots. Today, we are in a process of rebuilding that drives us to recover our autonomy and ensure a sustainable future for our families. Our meliponiculture project is the first step towards a new beginning, where we care not only for the native stingless bees but also for the nature that surrounds us. We preserve native species, strengthen food sovereignty, and protect the Amazon.
We seek to care for and preserve the native bees of our region through meliponiculture, promoting sustainable practices that respect and protect our natural environment. With this project, we not only protect essential species for the ecosystem, but we also create economic opportunities for our community by selling honey and other derived products. In this way, we strengthen our food sovereignty and contribute to the conservation of the Amazon.
Meliponiculture offers us the opportunity to work in harmony with nature, preserving native bees that are vital for plant pollination and the health of ecosystems. The production of honey and other beekeeping products allows us to generate sustainable income, strengthening the local economy and our autonomy. With every hive cared for, we move closer to our goal of being a strong, independent, and resilient community.
Our Objectives:
Environmental Conservation: Protect native bee species and contribute to the conservation of the Amazon's biodiversity.
Food Sovereignty: Produce honey and other beekeeping products that contribute to the nutrition and health of our families.
Economic Sustainability: Create job and income opportunities through the sale of honey and by-products, strengthening the local economy.
Territory Protection: Promote practices that respect and care for our natural environment, ensuring a sustainable future for future generations.
This project not only seeks to care for the bees and nature but also to unite us as a community in the protection and preservation of our territory. We believe in a future where our community is self-sufficient, respectful of its traditions, and committed to environmental care. Help us continue to care for the land. With the support of every community member and people like you, we can make this meliponiculture project the cornerstone of a renewed and dignified life for our families.
