Inga Language Classes

CLASES DE INGA

In 2017, our community was displaced from its territory, leaving behind our history, our language, and our roots. Today, we are in a process of rebuilding that drives us to recover our identity and ensure a sustainable future for our families. Our project for the revitalization of the Inga language is the first step towards a new beginning, where we cultivate not only words but also hope and unity.

OUR MISSION

We seek to guarantee the survival of our language and build a community strengthened by its cultural identity. With this project, our words will stay in the community, generating cohesion, strengthening our traditions, and enriching the education of our youth. In this way, we reduce the loss of our linguistic heritage and foster a living culture that honors our ancestral legacy. By strengthening our identity, we strengthen the Amazon.

WHY THE INGA LANGUAGE?

The revitalization of the Inga language offers us the opportunity to preserve our identity and transmit ancestral knowledge, strengthening community bonds and the self-esteem of our people. With every word recovered and shared, we come closer to our goal of being a strong, independent, and resilient community.

Our Objectives:

  • Cultural Preservation: Keep our language and traditions alive, ensuring they are passed on to future generations.

  • Identity Strengthening: Reinforce the sense of belonging and self-esteem of our community through the everyday use of our language.

  • Community Reconstruction: Foster active participation from our community in the project, ensuring every family is part of our rebuilding process.}

JOIN OUR CAUSE

This project aims not only to preserve a language but also to unite. We believe in a future where our community is proud of its identity, respectful of its traditions, and committed to sustainable cultural development. With the support of every community member and people like you, we can make this Inga language revitalization project the cornerstone of a renewed and dignified life for our families. By strengthening our identity, we strengthen the Amazon.
