Within the framework of project "C10296-2025", supported by the Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Knowledge through the Concertation and Stimulus Group - National Cultural Concertation Program, our Kusikui Puncha was celebrated. The Musu Runakuna reservation was transformed into a vibrant meeting place, where the Inga and Kamentsa peoples united in an ancestral embrace. This celebration transcended the traditional festivity, standing as a manifesto of unity, culture, and commitment to preserving our knowledge.

The atmosphere at Musu Runakuna pulsed with the energy of history and tradition. Every corner, adorned with elements honoring our heritage, burst with colors, aromas, and sounds that stirred memories of our ancestors. From handwoven fabrics to traditional ornaments, every detail narrated the story of entire generations, reaffirming the vital strength of our identity.

In the days leading up to the event, our community prepared with remarkable care. Our finest garments—crafted using ancestral techniques passed down through generations—became symbols of beauty and tangible testimonies of our history. Accompanied by melodies that resonate deep within our souls, traditional tunes were refined, evoking cherished memories and the promise of a hopeful future.
The day was dedicated to the exchange and celebration of ancestral wisdom. As a governor and a committed member of this community, I experienced every moment with profound emotion. Music workshops, traditional dressmaking classes, and storytelling sessions intertwined the legends of the past with the aspirations of the present, proving that culture is preserved through education, dialogue, and intergenerational collaboration.

Our rich culinary heritage elevated the event into a multisensory experience. The crafting of chichas with native ingredients—chontaduro, maize, cassava, plantain, jura, and anduche—took us on a journey to the heart of our traditional flavors. Iconic dishes such as uchu manga, dried fish, maito cuzao, along with specialties prepared with pork and free-range chicken, shone with the passion that defines our ancestral cooking. Every bite was a tribute to our land and the inherited techniques that shape our culinary identity.

The event was a reflection of our community’s relentless effort to preserve who we are. Every smile, every glance, and every shared word reaffirmed that identity is built and renewed daily through our commitment to pass on our knowledge. Despite the challenges, this celebration was an act of love and faith in the future—a reminder that only through collaboration and respect for our roots can we create a prosperous future rich in identity.
The KUSIKUI PUNCHA celebration at Musu Runakuna proved to be a transformative experience that strengthened the unity of our community. Every musical note, every handcrafted garment, and every traditional flavor are seeds of a lasting legacy. Let us continue moving forward together, honoring our past and laying the foundation for a future filled with identity, respect, and tradition.
